Screed & Tiling

Precision screed and expert tiling for flawless, long-lasting floors and walls.

Screed Pouring & Professional Tiling

A perfect floor starts with a perfect screed. MBO RENOV provides professional screed and tiling services across Belgium and Northern France, handling everything from sub-floor preparation to the final grout line. We work with liquid (anhydrite) screed, traditional cementitious screed and lightweight screeds for renovation projects, ensuring a level, stable base for any finish.

Our tiling team installs ceramic, porcelain, natural stone and large-format tiles on floors, walls, showers and outdoor terraces. We use modern levelling systems and premium adhesives to guarantee a flat, crack-free result - even with XXL formats. Whether it is a minimalist bathroom in 120×120 porcelain or a full-house floor in natural limestone, we deliver a finish that is both beautiful and built to last.

Natural stone flooring: bluestone, marble, limestone, travertine
Bathroom and wet-room wall and floor tiling
Outdoor terrace tiling with frost-proof materials

Our Screed & Tiling Process

We assess the sub-floor condition and confirm levels and tolerances before any work begins. For screed, we install edge strips, insulation and heating pipes (if applicable), then pour and finish to a precise tolerance. Tiling begins once the screed has cured - we set out the layout, cut tiles with water-cooled saws for clean edges, and apply flexible adhesive and matching grout. A final inspection ensures every joint is consistent and every surface is flat.

Frequently Asked Questions : Screed & Tiling

How long must screed cure before tiling?

Cementitious screed typically needs 28 days to cure fully, though forced drying can shorten this. Anhydrite (liquid) screed can be walked on after 24-48 hours but requires 4-6 weeks before tiling, depending on thickness and conditions.

Can large-format tiles be used with underfloor heating?

Yes. Large-format porcelain tiles are an excellent conductor for underfloor heating. We use flexible adhesive and ensure the screed is perfectly level to prevent any cracking or lippage.

What tile size do you recommend for small bathrooms?

Contrary to popular belief, large-format tiles (60×60 or 60×120) often make small bathrooms feel more spacious because there are fewer grout lines. We advise based on your specific layout and style preferences.
